I thought that I would share this email with you, just to let you know that you are not the only one feeling frustrated.

Hello Bill,
Just want to thank you for your very informative updates! As thankful as I am to receive them, I inevitably end up angry and frustrated at the level of incompetence and mis-management demonstrated by decision makers. The lack of transparency and free sharing of information is simply appalling and unacceptable! Conflicts of interest abound!
After reading your latest, I felt completely disheartened, in particular, by the threats of violence against you. I haven’t attended meetings for a variety of reasons and I have decided that it’s best for me to sell my unit and move. However, I strongly support the work that you and others are doing to address the apparent corruption that exists here. So I would like you to know that you can count on my vote for any matters that arise. Our sinking ship is definitely a “boat that needs rocking”!
Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your support, it is much appreciated. You would not believe how many people in the building have no clue as to how they are being screwed.
Would you mind if I circulated your comments, but I will remove your name?

By all means, feel free to share!
I guess the fact that most people don’t have a clue about how business is conducted here, just helps to perpetuate the dysfunction. I hope that your efforts will help to educate and change the current business culture that exists here, to one that clearly defines the values that all home owners can appreciate. I’m sure that everyone wants transparency and accountability. What we seem to have now is secrecy and obfuscation.
Take care and keep me posted!
Cheers!”
Let us hope that we can right this listing ship, before more people feel that the only solution is to leave. Judging by the doubling of our condo fees in 5 years, and the future special assessments (according to our glorious board this will not happen but there is that Brooklin bridge sales pitch again) many may not afford to stay.
The first step is to keep me on the board so that I can keep their feet to the fire. At least try to minimize the damage that they do. Then we will move on to the next step and get a real board in here to properly run this place.
